I live in a home next to the proposed quarry pit. Over the years, the quarry has been a good neighbor. We have a club that flies ultralight aircraft. The quarry has cooperated with us and let us use their land for our runway without charge. They also took care of all the legal issues necessary for us to use their land, which is far and beyond what we requested. As far as their future plan, they have been very cooperative and up front with the neighbors. They have explained their intentions, held meetings, given us guarantees, and brought in a sound engineer to deal with the potential noise issues. I support this rezoning.
