MINUTES OF THE MEETING
of the
FREDERICK COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
Held in the County Office Building, September 8, 1971
A Special Meeting of the Frederick County Planning Commission
was held in the Supervisors' Room of the County Office Building,
Winchester, Virginia, this day and was called to order by Vice -
Chairman Charles E. Bass at 3:45 P.M.
PRESENT: Charles E. Bass, Maurice W. Perry, Elmer Venskoske,
Keith Williams, Roy W. Williams, Grover Teets, Jr.
Also, Roy Jennings and Don E. Krueger.
ABSENT: James W. Golladay and Donald L. Baughman.
Mr. Bass announced a quoram was present and the meeting continued.
Roger H. Alderman, Executive Secretary of the Board of Supervisors
presented a letter written at the direction of the Board of Supervisors
that recommended Don E. Krueger to be Secretary to the Planning Commis-
sion.
. Upon motion of Mr. Keith Williams, seconded by Mr. Perry and
passed, Mr. Krueger was appointed as Secretary to the Planning
Commission.
The next order of business was a Public Hearing on the petition
of 0. Lee Garber, et al, trustees of the Charles E. and Nora L. Garber
Trust. The petition was read by Mr. Krueger. No one appeared in
opposition. Benjamin M. Butler, Attorney for petitioners and James
H. Ross, Realator appeared for petitioners. Mr. Butler explained his
petition briefly then he and Mr. Ross departed.
Upon motion of Mr. Perry, seconded by Mr. Teets:
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Planning Commission does hereby re-
commend to the Board of Supervisors that the petition of 0. Lee
Garber, et al to rezone from Business B -2 to Residential R -2
19.265 acres in Shawnee Magisterial District be approved.
There being no further new business the minutes of the Regular
Meeting of July 7, 1971 and the Special Meetings conducted on
July 12, 1971 and July 28, 1971 read and approved as read upon
motion by Mr. Perry and seconded by Mr. Venskoske.

Don E. Krueger as the Board's nominee for Secretary to the
Frederick County.Planning Commission.
The Commission's consideration of Mr. Krueger it is felt would
be in the interest of the people of Frederick County.
