MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FREDERICK
COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION - Held in the
Board Room, County Office Building, on
April 9, 1969, at 4:00 P. M.
Present: James W. Golladay, Chairman; Charles�E.
Bass; Maurice W. Perry; Clinton L. Ritter; Elmer Venskoske;
Donald L. Baughman; and Joseph A. Massie, Jr., Secretary.
The meeting was called to order by J. W. Golladay,
Chairman, and the minutes of the previous meeting were then
read, to which there was noobjection or exception, and the
same were thereupon approved.
The Chairman then informed the meeting that the
first order of business was to take up the petitions for
which advertisement had beerimade for J. Kenneth Robinson and
Ray Robinson, Jr., a partnership, trading as Kenray, and Ithe
petition of S. Blaine Wilson and the petition of T. G. Adams.
Public discussion was then held concerning the
petition of Kenray presented by Ray Robinson, Jr. for the
petitioners. There were no objectors. The next order of
business was the petition of S. Blaine Wilson presented by
himself and his attorney E. Eugene Gunter, and discuss was
held concerning the same, and there were no objectors.
The next order of business was the petition ofiT. G.
Adams, and no one appeared for or against the petition.
The Chairman then requested the Planning Commission
to gointo Executive Session, which it did, and after some dis-
cussion, the meeting was then thrown open to the public and
discussion was had on the petition of Kenray. And on motion
by Charles E. Bass, seconded by M. W. Perry,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission
recommend to the Board of Supervisors to approve
the petition for the rezoning of 1;::1908 acres of land
of Kenray from A -1 to B -1 at the Southwest inter-
section of U. S. Highway No. 522 and Virginia
Secondary Route No. 739 for use as a gasoline service
station.

Said motion was passed unanimously.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission
recommend to the Board of Supervisors to approve
the petition for the rezoning of Lots 7 and 8 of the
Extension and Second Edition of the Plat of Milton
Valley Subdivision, recorded in the Clerk's Office
of the Circuit Court of Frederick County, Virginia,
in Deed Book 193, at Page 182, fronting on the West
side of Route 644, known as the Paper Mill Road, from
R -2, Residential General, to M -1, Industrial Limited.
The motion was unanimously passed.
On motion by Elmer Venskoske, seconded by Donald
L. Baughman,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission
recommend to the Board of Supervisors that the
petition of T. G. Adams be denied due to failure
of the petitioner or anyone on his behalf to appear
and present his case for rezoning.
The motion unanimously passed.
There being no further business to come before the
meeting, the same was thereupon adjourned.
