PC_08-03-66_Meeting_MinutesMinutes of Meetin Held August 3, 1966 0) - �; C1 -- At a meeting of the Frederick County Planning Commission held in the Supervisor's Room on the 3rd day of August 1966 PRESENT: Charles E. Bass, D.riE:- Russell,,... G. Grover Teets, Belmont Fout, James Golliday, Clinton Ritter, Joseph A. Massie, Jr. and George B. Whitacre. The purpose of the meeting was to consider the requests for changes in the zoning ordinance. Mrs. Jeanne S. Powers made a request that the land adjacent to Willow Dawn be changed from zoned Industrial General M =2 to Residental General R -2. Mrs. W. E. Morrison, who lives on Route near #7,/Winchester, Virginia, requested that their property be zoned Industrial M -1 instead of Residental R -2. (Property near Route #7) Mr. E. E. Martin /appeared before the board requesting that his land be zoned R -2 instead of R -1. Mr. James Shockey, Jr. appeared before the Planning Commission presenting the plat of their property and requested their property be zoned Industrial General M -2. Mr. C. G. Follansbee, representing the Winchester Industrial Corporation requested that Marks Pony Farm be zoned Industrial General M -2. Mr. John W. Miller appeared before the Planning Commission with a request for his property on Route #11i South be zoned Business General B -2 =2- - C'� - • for a depth of 700 feet instead of 400 feet. The petition of T. G. Adams and wife was received and consideredfor amendment to the subdivision act for Tract "A" Echo Village to provide for Town Houses. On motion duly made and seconded, the Commission set the same for Public Hearing, at 2:00 P. M., Wednesday, September 7 1966 Upon motion duly made and seconded that Shockey Brothers property be changed as map._ shows which was presented to M -2. The above motion was approved and passed unanimously. Mr. John W. Miller who owns land along Route #11 South presented a request listed above was put in form of a motion and moved and seconded and unanimously passed. Mrs. Jeanne Powers requested the acreage from Industrial General to Residential R -2 with the exception of small corner, which was requested to be B -2 to conform with existing zoning. The above request was approved and passed. S app Cr Upon motion duly made and seconded to GaY s - ' —make the east side of U.S. No 11 between Route �42 and intersection with B&0 R.R. and 300 feet deep B -2 and remaining land to B& 0 R.R. to be M -2'. The above request was approved and passed. J I =3- _3I- • No action wastaken to change the existing zoning on land of E. E. Martin. A motion was made to make Route #7 East from the Ash Run (lst bridge on Route #7) east on the North side to a point opposite Route 656 and 400 feet deep to be B -2. on,South Side A motion was made to make Route VEast from Ash Run 1st bridge on Route #7 east of City Limits eastward to J & L Trucking Company to be B -2 500 feet deep - - - d & — -Trbic -ki ig= Company tote= B-2- 500= feet -deep- - - J C L Trucking Company lot and adjoining land on South to be M -2 for a distance of 500 feet from Route 7. on South Side A motion was made to make Route #7/East from interesection of Route 656 to intersection of 659 500 feet deep to be B -2. All three of the above motions were moved seconded and passed. Upon motion duly made and seconded it is moved that 15 acres of Wm. M. Sticky, III Farm just north of Middletown be zoned M -2 for Quarry purposes. See sketch attached. The above motion was passed. Upon motion duly made and seconded it is moved that the Clem Stone Company Quarry land on Route 663 be zoned M -2. ( See'.Plat) The above motion was passed. Upon motion duly made and seconded it is moved that the Zuckerman Co., Inc., 53:034 acres on Route 663 be zoned M -2 - - Exceptfor a lot fronting on Route 11, 295.7, with depth on South 438 feet and I -4- on North 410 feet which shall remain A -L. The above motion was passed. Upon motion duly made and seconded it is moved that the Kerr McGee land 26.69 acres on Route 663 be zoned M -2. The above motion was passed. Upon motion duly made and seconded it is moved that the land of Buckley & Lages on Route 663 be zoned M -2. The above motion was passed. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it I is moved that the Marks Pony Farm purchased from the Curtiss Candy Company by the Winch ter Frederick County Industrial Development Corporation be zoned M -2. The above motion was passed. Upon motion duly made and seconded, It is moved that the State Highway Department Plans for Virginia Interstate Highway No. 81 providing for recommended B -2 Areas for Advertising Signs, be declared Zoned B -2 upon recommendation by the said Highway Department. The above motion was passed. The next regular meeting to be held on Sot'em"ber 7, 1966, at 2.00 P.M.
