MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE
FREDERICK COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
Held in the Board of Supervisors Room, October 22, 1974
PRESENT: Keith Williams, Chairman; Elmer Venskoske; James Golladay;
Langdon Gordon; Manuel DeHaven; Ronald Berg and J. 0.
Renalds, III.
ABSENT: Richard Madigan; Maurice Perry; and R. Wesley Williams.
CALL TO ORDER
The Chairman called the Meeting to Order and announced that
the Special Call Meeting was for the purpose of discussing the Pro-
posed Land Use Plan.
LAND USE PLAN
The Members discussed the Proposed Land Use Plan in detail.
Mr. Ron Berg made the suggestion that the areas between the Golf Course
and the industrial areas be designated as high density residential.
Upon motion made by James Golladay and seconded by Elmer
Venskoske,
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Planning Commission of Frederick
County does hereby designate the areas around the Golf Course and
industrial area as high density residential areas on the Land Use Maps.
The above motion was unanimously approved by roll call vote.
A lengthy discussion followed in which the Members made
numerous suggestions to be incorporated into the Land Use Plan.
It was decided`that more work was needed on the Plan before sending
® the proposed Plan to the Board of Supervisors.
THERE BEING NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE COMMISSION,
THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED.
