Langdon Gordon, Chairman; Frank Brumback, Vice Chairman; Manuel C. DeHaven; James Golladay, Jr.; W. French Kirk; Thomas Rosenberger; Elmer Venskoske ABSENT: Herbert L. Sluder CALL TO ORDER The Chairman called the meeting to order and acknowledged Mr. George Whitacre, Clerk of the Frederick County Circuit Court who was attending the worksession at the request of the Commission, and Mr. Clinton Ritter, Sr. who was attending to answer questions or amplify on his remarks at the March 1st meeting. Mr. Berg presented two alternatives for large lot subdivisions -- Alternative A would require amendments to the Subdivision Code to require fifty (50) feet of right -of -way and proper drainage structures on subdivided lots smaller than twenty (20) acres; Alternative B included a recreational zoning district with only right- of-way requirements for seasonal, recreational use and a proposal for subdivision amendments to require fifty (50) feet of right -of -way, proper drainage structures and minimum slope requirements for all other large lot developments. The Commission discussed the alternatives and reached a general concensus that Alternative A would be better than B, and that lots larger than ten (10) acres should be exempt from County regulations. The Commission also agreed to present both alter- natives to the Board with their consensus. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by the Chairman.
