OF THE
FREDERICK COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
Held in the Board of Supervisors' Meeting Room, 9 Court Square, Winchester,
Virginia, on November 26, 1985.
PRESENT: Frank H. Brumback, Chairman; James Golladay, Jr., Vice - Chairman;
Kenneth Y. Stiles; Blaine Wilson; A. Lynn Myers; Manuel C. DeHaven;
Carl M. McDonald; John R. Riley, Secretary; William Orndoff, Board
of Supervisors.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Brumback called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The
Planning Commission changed the meeting dates for their January meetings.
The Commission decided that they would meet on January 8, 1986 and January
22, 1986 due to the New Years Day Holiday.
The second item of discussion concerned public garages and body shops.
The Commission decided that body shops and public garages should remain as
they were in the ordinance.
The next item of discussion concerned shooting ranges. The
Commissioners said that public shooting ranges would fall under commercial
recreation with a conditional use permit.
The Planning Commission decided to permit Bed and Breakfast
establishments as a matter of right in the A -1 (Agricultural Limited) and A -2
(Agricultural General) Zoning Districts.
The Planning Commission requested the Commonwealth Attorney to check
on the legality of Homeowners Associations.
Finally, they requested the County Administrator to research state
standards for base materials on roads to be constructed to state standards
and report back to the Planning Commission at their January 8, 1986 meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned.
