Dear Mr. Smith:
On September 1, 1998 I performed a final inspection of right-of-way improvements at the above referenced
jevelopment. Based on this inspection VDOT now accepts construction of the right-of-way improvements.
By copy of this letter to Mr. Eric Lawerence, Frederick County Subdivision Administration, we are
providing him a legal description of this street so the necessary Board of Supervisors resolution may be prepared.
For your information the total length of the proposed addition is 0.51 mile.
It appears a practical target date for the addition is December 1, 1998. In this case a maintenance fee in the
amount of $437.50 will be required. This should be in check form made payable to VDOT. Also, a bond to
guarantee workmanship and performance of materials in amount of $7,500.00 for a period of one year from the date
of acceptance is needed. The surety instrument should be dated from December 1, 1998 to December 1, 1999.
Attached are insurance bond and letter of credit form examples.
To meet the December 1, 1998 addition date, the required maintenance fee and bond will need to be
received by this office by November 1, 1998.
