Plan Sheet 9 of 33 The deficient K value at PVI Station 0+39.60 could be acceptable since the volume flow is so low, combined with stop condition. However, this street intersection should be reviewed to consider more desirable drainage flow to discharge drainage structures. It appears structures 736 and 737 are set too high to intercept intersection flow. Ideally the low point of VC at PVI Station 0+39.60 should be extended to the radii termini. This approach would fully utilize the basic intent of CG-II intersection design and should be considered for implementation. • Appropriate and adequate information on storm sewer and drainage structures should be shown on the plan and profile. See Item #3 under I. Drainage on Page 6 of 8 of the Subdivision Checklist. • On the roadway typical sections, the cross slopes on pavement on current VDOT revision of TC-5 is now 2%. • The more desirable and appropriate prime coat treatment may be found on VDOT IIM-LD- 158.8 Page 6 of 18 (Note 7), copy attached. • Consideration should be given to placement of fire hydrants to be in compliance with revised VDOT Subdivision Street requirements, 3' back from face of curb (copy attached). Among other critical considerations, the possibility of a loaded school bus striking the hydrant (or other object).
