It is our opinion that additional topsoil and seeding will be required due to the obvious erosion of the field slopes. Also, the plans call for sod ditches on both sides of Bret -Wyatt Street. Apparently when this street was originally checked, it had been seeded. These ditch lines will have to be corrected. 2. We are concerned about how the developer plans to channel the surface water along the north side of Bret -Wyatt Street around the cul-de-sac and discharge into the drainage easement as there has not been any ditching done to allow this. It may be necessary to require that this street be sealed again before adding it to the Secondary System should several more years elapse before adding. For your information and ready reference,I = enclosing a copy of a letter dated July 13, 1981 whieh is self explanatory. This test was run in accordance with ASTM-D2922 standards for the use of a nuclear gauge. The test was run at approximately three feet below the finished elevation of the fill. Additionally, a bulk sample was returned to the laboratory where a Modified Proctor, ASTM-D1557, was performed on the soil. OBSERVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS According to the laboratory test the soil at the site is a clay with a maximum dry unit weight of 100.1 pcf at 22.7% moisture. Based upon these results, the field compaction test lded 97% compaction (97.5 pcf dry unit weight at 22.4% moisture). The fill has been adequately compacted at the area tested.
