REVIEW EVALUATIONS:
Virginia Dept. of Transportation: In accordance with the laws
of the Commonwealth of Virginia, no private advertisement sign
can be placed on the State's right-of-way. Prior to erection
on private property, a permit will have to be applied for
through our District office in Staunton. You may do so by
contacting Mr. Larry Curry at 703-332-9142.
Inspections Department: Structure shall comply with the
Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and Section 311 Use

SPACING OF STRUCTURES - Interstate Highways and Freeways on the Federal -aid Primary. System
No two structures shall be spaced less than 500 feet apart.
At the intersection of any Interstate Highway and any other highway, no structure shall be
permitted within 500 feet from any point of ingress to or egress from the Interstate Highway.
Federal -Aid Primary Highways
No two structures shall be spaced less than 300 feet apart.
For the purpose of these regulations an unzoned commercial or industrial area shall be defined as a parcel or
parcels of land on which there is located one or more permanent structures devoted to a business of industrial'
activity or on which a commercial or industrial activity is actually conducted, whether or not a permanent structure
is located thereon, and the area extending outward 500 feet from and beyond the edge of such activity. Each side"'

SPACING OF STRUCTURES - Interstate Highways and Freeways on the Federal -aid Primary System
No two structures shall be spaced less than 500 feet apart.
At thel intersection of any Interstate Highway and any other highway, no structure shall be
permitted within 500 feet from any point of ingress to or egress from the Interstate Highway.

For the purpose of these regulations an unzoned commercial or industrial area shall be defined as a parcel or
parcels of land on which there is located one or more permanent structures devoted to a business of industrial
activity or on which a commercial or industrial activity is actually conducted, whether or not a permanent structure
