This letter is to confirm the action taken by the Board of
Supervisors at their meeting of December 10, 1980 with regard to
your request for a conditional use permit for a home
occupation/small engine repair.
The Board of Supervisors approved your Conditional Use Permit
#019-80 with the following conditions:
1. This is a one year permit to be reviewed annually by the
Staff, Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors.
2. If the use or occupancy of the building changes, this
conditional use permit shall expire and a new conditional
use permit will be required.
3. No one other than members of the immediate family residing
on the premises shall be employed.
4. Hours of operation shall be from 5:00 p.m. tp 8:00 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
5. Outside storage is prohibited and all work shall take place
within the shop.

PROPOSED USE AND IMPROVEMENTS:
Shop attached to main house to_ be used for small engine repair
(lawnmowers, chainsaws,.rotortillers, etc.). All work will be done in
the confines of the shop and no new equipment will be sold.
REVIEW EVALUATIONS: -
Va. Dept. of Highways and Transportation/Public Works - No
objection to conditional.use permit. Off-street parking to be
provided.
Sanitation Authority - No objection.
Department of Inspections - Structure must -conform to the
requirements of Use Group B of the Virginia,Uniform Statewide
Building Code. Specific requirements will be noted on the
plans. Minimal fire protection must be provided.
Planning and Zoning: If approved, recommend the following
conditions:

Dear Mr.Riley:
I. have your letter, dated November 24, 1980, in which
you advise me, as adjoining property owner, of the
application for a Conditional Use Permit by Richard J.
Scherzinger, Sr. This peririt is to enable Mr. Scherzinger
to operate a home business to repair small engines.
I have no objection to this application. Mr.. Scherzinger's
workshop area will be facing our bedrooms, but will not
disturb us, since he restricts his motor noises to weekends
and early.evening hours. He keeps his area very neat,
therefore there will be no visual contamination of the
neighborhood.
Since I do not plan to attend the December 10, 1980
meeting of the Board of. Supervisors, I request that
this letter be read at that time.
