This letter is to confirm the action taken by the Board of
Supervisors at their meeting of December 10, 1980 with regard to
your request for a Conditional Use Permit for a home occupation/
blacksmith shop in an accessory structure.
The Board of Supervisors approved your Conditional Use Permit
#014-80 with the following conditions:
1. Review annually by the Staff, Planning Commission and
Board of Supervisors.
2. This be a three..year permit.
3. If the nature of the business changes, additional
improvmen..ts such as parking, access and hours of
operation will be addressed.
4. If the use is discontinued, or occupancy or ownership
of the building changes, this conditional use permit
shall expire and a new conditional use permit will be
required.
5. This be restricted to one employee (member of the
immediate family residing on the premises).

Location: Southwest corner of Merrimans Lane'and Cedar Creek
Grade in the Back Creek Magisterial District.

Set up Blacksmith Shop in part of existing barn.
Applicant will be the only person employed by the
shop.
Review Evaluations:
Va. Dept. of Highways.'and Transportation and Public
Works - Satisfactory.. Off-street parking to be
provided.
Winchester -Frederick Health Department - Facilities
and drainfield serving the house is adequate for
the proposed usage.
Department of Inspections - O.K. as submitted. Will
note specific code and fire safety requirements on
the permit.
Planning and Zoning - Satisfactory. The following
conditions are recommended:
1. Review and renew annually.
2. This be a one year permit.
3. If the nature of the business changes, additional
improvements such as parking, access and hours of
operation will be addressed.
4. If the use is discontinued, or occupancy or owner-
ship of the building changes, this conditional
use permit "shall expire and a new conditional
