STAFF COMMENTS: Required setbacks were clearly indicated on the building permit for this structure and were not followed. Applicant states that he had to put the house at this location in order to get the septic field installed in the approved location. Septic field locations cannot be allowed to drive the location of structures. If the property cannot accommodate the structure in the proper location then other arrangements should be made. This is clearly a self-inflicted violation which does not qualify as a hardship other than the fact that the construction of the house has been completed.
