their meeting of August 15, 1989:
Approval of Variance #019-89 of Sovereign Homes, Inc. for a 6 1/2 foot rear yard
variance. This property is located in the Regency Heights Subdivision, Lot 58,
902 Chelan Road, in the Stonewall Magisterial District.

REASON FOR VARIANCE - In order to avoid a 10' sanitary sewer easement, the house
had to -be placed back on the lot. This does not allow enough setback footage for
a small deck.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION - House has been constructed on the required 25' rear
setback line and the builder desires to add a deck that will protrude 8' into this
area.
STAFF COMMENT - The deck will be approximately 5' off the ground on the left rear
corner of the house. Looking at the overall area, it would not seem to be out of
place to have a deck at this location. House sets on steep grade with a slope
from rear to front.
