APPLICANT'S REASON FOR VARIANCE - Applicant is unable to maintain property and would like to sell it to a neighbor who is currently maintaining it. BACKGROUND INFORMATION - The minimum lot size in the RP zone for a parcel not hooked to public sewer is 100,000 square feet. Mr. Miller's lot consists of approximately one acre (43,560 square feet). Mr. Miller wishes to adjust the southern boundary of his property such that his neighbor would acquire 1/2 an acre, leaving approximately 1/2 acre with Mr. Miller's lot. STAFF COMMENT - One reason for the 100,000 square foot minimum lot size for parcels not connected to public sewer is the unlikelihood of locating a suitable drainfield site on smaller parcels. In this situation a drainfield is already present on the parcel. Public sewer is also available to the site should the existing system fail.
