The above -referenced minor site plan was approved on October 26, 2016. The minor site plan is
approved for installation of a diesel exhaust fluid treatment system on a 46' by 9' concrete pad at
the Flying J Travel Center in the Stonewall Magisterial District.
All requirements of the Frederick County Zoning Ordinance have been met in the approved site
plan, including review agency comments from all relevant review agencies. I am providing you
with three (3) copies of the approved site plan. Please forward these copies to the appropriate
representative(s). Furthermore, advise the owner(s) that a copy should be kept for future
reference, and an approved copy must be kept on the construction site throughout the
development process. Once site development is complete, the owner(s) should contact this
office to schedule an on -site inspection. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions

Attached is our response submittal for site plan approval of the above -referenced System. The Johnson
Company, Inc. (JCO) has prepared this application on behalf of Pilot Travel Centers, LLC (the Owner).
Please find attached the following documents;

2. Copy of County of Frederick Department of Planning and Development review comments.

1) Installation of water treatment facility shall comply with The 2012 Virginia Uniform Statewide
Building Code, U-Utility Use Group, Virginia Plumbing Code, and the Virginia Mechanical
Code/2012. Underground piping shall also comply with NFPA.
JCO Response: Acknowledged. No revisions required.
2) Self-contained storm water treatment system is located +35' from property line and adjacent
traffic. A building permit is required for building and equipment. Plans submitted for permit
application shall be required to be sealed by a VA Design Professional.

As a follow-up to your meeting with Charlie Farmer on October 7, 2016, we are providing this letter to
accompany our site plan application for construction of the above -referenced System. The Johnson
Company, Inc. (JCO) has prepared this application on behalf of Pilot Travel Centers, LLC (the Owner).
Please find attached the following documents;
1. Site Plan Application (pages 8 and 9 of the site plan application package, revised 3/1/11).
2. Two (2) copies of Site Plan Drawing (1 of 1) dated 10/14/16.
3. Minor Site Plan Review Fee check in the amount of $500.00.
4. Original Special Limited Power of Attorney.
5. Copy of Frederick County Public Works recommendation for site plan approval.
Please note that draft site plans and requests for comment where provided to the following departments on
October 7th. At this time, only Public Works has provided a comment form.
