Review Comments Dear Mr. Klein: The following represents Dice Engineering, PLC responses to your comments, dated June 24, 2016, concerning the SVEC Storage Building site plan review. Review comments are shown in bold italics. I am responding on a point -by -point basis to correlate with your comments. 1. Screening. On sheet C-02, please depict screening of outdoor storage areas. Per the Zoning Ordinance, outdoor storage shall be completely screened from view from adjacent roadways and properties by a six-foot tall board -on -board fence, wall, berm, or evergreen trees. Per discussions between SVEC and the Planning Dept. (see attached correspondence), SVEC has proposed to install a 100% opaque vinyl screen on the existing chain link fence between the outdoor storage area and Rte. 11 (see plan, Note #8, and detail on sheet C-02). 2. Outdoor Liqhtinq. Under "Notes" on sheet C-02, please indicate that the proposed lighting will be "full cutoff". The notes are revised to state that full cutoff fixtures are required for outdoor lighting (see Note #7, sheet C-02). 3. AgencV Approvals. Comment sheets (approvals) are required from the following agencies: Frederick County Inspections Dept., Frederick County Fire Marshal, and County Engineer. A copy of the requested approvals from the various County agencies is attached. 101 Shelby Ct. 540.974.5157 (phone) Email: office@dice-eng.com Winchester, VA 22602 540.723.4868 (fax) • • of, SPA 23-1 Dept. of Planning & Development August 29, 2016 RE: SVEC Storage Building Page 2 Please find attached one set of revised drawings for your review, additional sets will be provided once you've had an opportunity to confirm that comments have been adequately addressed.
