The following comments should be included with the release for construction (RFC) plans: a. In accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations Title 14 Part 77.9, the development meets Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) criteria to file an Obstruction Evaluation/Airport Airspace Analysis (OE/AAA). OE/AAA filings are also subject to review by the Virginia Department of Aviation (DOAV). b. Electronic filing may be accomplished at the following web address: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/portal.jsp. c. The height of any proposed structures must account for the maximum height of any and all appurtenances. d. Cranes and/or temporary construction equipment. require a separate OE/AAA filing. e. OE/AAA submissions should be made a minimum of 45 days prior to the expected start date of construction. 2. Provide copies of any FAA determination letters to the airport. The WRAA requests compliance with these comments as a condition of approval of the site plan. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of the Winchester Regional Airport. VERY TRULY YOURS; John C. Lewis, P.E., C.L.A. Job No: 1808023 Page - 1 0 0 Tyler Klein From: Tyler Klein Sent: Thursday, December 13, 2018 11:42 AM To: 'John Lewis' Subject: Airport Business Park Building E - site plan resubmission; additional review comments John, staff has reviewed the resubmission of the above site plan. Staff acknowledges comments from our letter dated 12/07/18 have been addressed, less comment #8, Agency Review Comments, which are forthcoming. On all future resubmissions/final copies please include the dates of any revisions. The following comments should also be addressed: • Curb & Gutter. Affirm and label on Sheet 4, the required 6-inch curb and gutter around the perimeter of the parking area against the "4' Concrete Apron." If it is the intent of the applicant to eliminate the curb and gutter in this portion of the parking area as allowed under §165-201.01(D)(3)(c), the Director of Public Works will need to confirm this is acceptable as part of their review. Also, confirm (and label) the "Private Driveway" includes CG-6 on either side. Staff believes this to be the case but nonethe- less requests a label added to the plan to confirm. • Sidewalks. The "4' Concrete Apron" should be a 5-foot wide apron, as sidewalks/walks are required to provide pedestrian access from parking lots to the building and all sidewalks and walkways should be a minimum of five (5) feet wide. Once the above comments are addressed, please send electronically (email) a copy of Sheet 4 — Site Layout Plan, for staff to review and ensure the above comments are addressed. After all Planning & Development comments are addressed, and approvals are provided from concurring review agencies, please submit at least five (5) hard copies of the plan set for Zoning Administrator approval, plus hard copies of review comments/approvals and a digital (PDF) copy of the plans for the project file. - If you have any additional questions or comments at this time please let me know.
