Dear Mrs. Lind:
This letter is to confirm the Frederick County Board of Supervisors' action at
their meeting of February 11, 1987:
Approval of Conditional Use Permit #011-86 of Beulah R. Lind for a Cottage
Occupation/Odds and Ends Shop to be located in the existing building. .This
property is located on the east side of Route 654, 1/2 mile north of Route 522 at
Cross Roads Grocery, in the Gainesboro Magisterial District. This Conditional
Use Permit is approved with the following conditions:
1. This is a one-year permit to be reviewed and renewed annually by the staff,
Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors.
2. If the use, occupancy, or ownership of the property changes, this conditional
use permit will expire and a new conditional use permit will be required.
3. Off-street parking will be provided.

REVIEW EVALUATIONS:
Virginia Dept. of Highways and Transportation - A commercial entrance permit
must be applied for and approved prior to opening this business.
Inspections Department - A Certificate of Occupancy must be applied for and
approved for the change of use prior to occupancy.
Health Department - No objections with the understanding that only family
members will operate the odds and ends shop..
Clearbrook Fire Company - No objection.
Planning and Zoning - No objection. The Odds and Ends Shop meets the cottage
occupation requirements.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: Approval, with the following conditions:
1. This is a one-year permit to be reviewed and renewed annually by the staff,
Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors.
2. If the use, occupancy, or ownership of the property changes, this conditional
use permit shall expire and a new conditional use permit will be required.
