This letter is to confirm the Frederick County Board of Supervisors' action at
their meeting of July 9, 1986:
Approval of Conditional Use Permit #008-86 of Robert E. and Jeanne A. Spaid for
an antique shop on the north side of US 50 West, one mile west of Winchester, in
the Gainesboro Magisterial District, with the following conditions:
1. This will be a one-year permit to be reviewed and renewed annually by the
staff, Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors.
2. If the use,. occupancy, or ownership of the property changes, this conditional
use permit will expire and a new conditional use permit will be required.
3. On -site parking is required.
If you have any questions regarding your conditional use. permit, please do not

PROPOSED USE AND IMPROVEMENTS: Antique Shop
REVIEW EVALUATIONS:
VA Dept. of Highways & Transportation - No objection to the conditional use
permit, however, a commercial entrance permit must be applied for and
approved prior to starting a business.
Health Department - Restroom facilities available at adjacent house. Health
Department has no objections as long as Mr. and Mrs. Spaid are the only
employees of the shop. The current drainfield was installed in 1963 and
appears to be operating satisfactorily.
Round Hill Fire Company - No comment.
Inspections Department - Proposed building to be designed and built in
accordance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code, ANSI Standard
for Handicap Accessibility, B.O.C.A. Basic Building and Plumbing Codes,
National Electric Code and other applicable referenced standards. Engineered
metal buildings require footings designed by a Virginia architect or
engineer.
Planning and Zoning - Satisfactory, off-street parking needs to be addressed.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: Approval, with the following conditions:
1. This will be a one-year permit to be reviewed and renewed annually by the
staff, Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors.
