Board of Zoning Appeals.at their meeting of November 20, 1990.
Variance application 0023-90 was approved for a 40' front yard
variance to correct a setback violation for an existing barn. This
property, is located on .Route 600,Hogue Creek Estates, in the Back
Creek District and is identified'as parcel 16 on tax map 50.

50 West on Route 600.

PROPOSED USE & IMPROVEMENTS: Existing barn/equipment shed (doors

VARIANCE: 40' front yard setback
REASON FOR VARIANCE: Present location is best for topography and
accessibility reasons.
STAFF COMMENTS: This barn/equipment shed is an accessory structure
and is required to be setback 60' from the Lovewater Lane right-
of-way. The applicant states that it was built as a farm building
under the assumption that no building permit would be required, so
the required setbacks may not have been known when it was
constructed.
The right-of-way for Lovewater Lane is 501, but the lane itself is
only wide enough for two vehicles. The structure is 45' from the
center of the lane.
The structure should not appear out -of -place with the character of
the neighborhood if doors are added as the applicant intends.
