Since the applicant wishes to construct an addition to her home that would be within twelve (12) feet of the right side property line, it would be necessary for a side yard variance of three (3) feet to be obtained before a building permit could be issued. Staff Recommendation Staff recommends disapproval. This row of homes on Route 669 appears to have been built to face the road and given the slight angle of the right property line (noticeable on site inspection) an argument could be made that an addition would be hard to place on the right side, -However, a true argument for topo- graphical hardship does not appear to have been shown, and any hardship appears self imposed.
