Strickler wishes to erect a two car garage to be attached to the applicants' dwelling, which is located in an A-2 (Agricultural - General) District. In the A-2 section of the Zoning Ordinance, attached garages are considered part of the main structure or dwelling and must have a minimum side yard.of fifteen (15) feet. Since the applicant wishes to erect an attached garage that would be within five (5) feet of their side property line, it would be necessary for a side yard variance of ten (10) feet to be obtained before a building permit could be issued. Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends disapproval since this case appears hardship.
