MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT - Opequon TAX MAP & PARCEL NUMBER - Tax Map 85-A, Parcel 148 LAND USE & ZONING - Commercial land use and B-2 (Business General) zoning PROPOSED USE & IMPROVEMENTS - 60' sign VARIANCE - 25' height variance REASON FOR VARIANCE - Due to the topography of the subject property in relation to the commercial properties surrounding it, a sign 60' in height is necessary in order to be seen by southbound travelers on I-81. A 60' Comfort Inn sign would appear at the same height as the Kentucky Fried Chicken sign from Routes 81 and 277 due to the latter's high elevation.
