This letter is to confirm that the above referenced appeal application was approved by the Board
of Zoning Appeals at their meeting on April 18, 2006. Your application appealed the decision of
the Zoning Administrator as to the use of LED (Light Emitting Diode) signage in Frederick
County, on property located at the northeast intersection of Fairfax Pike (Route 277) and Double
Church Road (Route 641), being developed as Fredericktowne Crossing Commercial Center,
bearing Property Identification Number 86 -A -10, in the Opequon Magisterial District.

A VDOT review has been completed on the final plat dated August 17, 2006 for the referenced project.
The plat appears to reflect the information shown on the approved project plans and is therefore
approved by this letter.
The application for subdivision of this property appears to have significant measurable impact on
Route 277 641, the VDOT facility which would provide access to the property. Before
development, this office will require a complete set of construction plans for review. Entrances will
have to be constructed to VDOT standards to allow for safe egress and ingress of the property.
We are returning 6 signed copies of the plat to your office, one copy is being retained for our work file.
Please provide one copy of the plat of dedication fully signed and recorded at the appropriate
County Clerk's Office prior to the issuance of any land use permit from VDOT.
