RE: APPEAL APPLICATION #10 -05
This letter is to confirm that the above referenced appeal application was denied by the Board of
Zoning Appeals at their meeting on April 19, 2005. This denial was of your request #10 -05, to
appeal the decision of the Zoning Administrator pertaining to Section 165 -30 -G, to permit a 25 foot
high sign. The subject property is located at the southeast comer of the intersection of Middle Road
and Apple Valley Road, and identified by Property Identification Number #63 -A -14 in the Shawnee
Magisterial District.
The decision of the Board of Zoning Appeals may be appealed to the Circuit Court of Frederick
County within 30 days of the Board's decision. if you have any questions regarding this action,

RE: FELLOWSHIP BIBLE CHURCH APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE
Dear Mark:
Along with this letter you will find an application to appeal a zoning determination you issued
on January 28, 2005. The determination effectively limits the height of a sign to 10 feet and
the area of a sign to 50 square feet for a church in the RA zone. Signs for the church cannot
be viewed from Route 37 even though the road right -of -way is within 200 feet of the church
property.
The application is being submitted on behalf of the Fellowship Bible Church on Middle Road.
The church is in the Rural Areas zoning district.
