Dear Evan:
This letter is to confirm that the above referenced appeal application was approved by the Board
of Zoning Appeals at their meeting on March 20, 2007. Your application appealed the decision
of the Zoning Administrator as to the use of LED (Light Emitting Diode) signage in Frederick
County, on property which is located on the south side of Fairfax Pike (Route 277),
approximately 500 feet east of Interstate 81, Exit 307, Property Identification Number 85 -A-
148E, in the Opequon Magisterial District. The Board of Zoning Appeals voted to allow the
above referenced business signage with the condition that the LED portion can change no
more than every two (2) minutes.

As a follow up to our telephone conversation last week, please find enclosed the
application fee concerning Roma Restaurant's request for a LED sign at its business location near
Stephens City, Virginia. It is my understanding that the County intends to deny this sign
application and that a letter of denial will be forthcoming once the application fee is received.
