CONSTRUCTION NOTES
GENERAL
1. The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor and eguipment and perform all work including restoration for the
completed installation of the utility systems and all other improvements shown or implied as necessary for the
completed facility ready for use. Unless otherwise noted, specifications for all work to be in accordance with
applicable Standards and Construction Specifications of The 'Virginia Department of Transportation, Viriginia
Department of Health, Frederick County Sanitation AuthoriY an the contract documents.
2. The enqineer has attempted to locate existing subsu ace utilities; however, such may exist that are not shown.
The contraclor shall exercise care in this work so as to avoid damage to any utilities. Any damage shall be the
contractors responsibili . The contractor shall notify all utility companies 72 hours prior to construction. Call *Miss
Utilit * 1-800-552-7OYl.
3. �he contractor shall be responsible for all construction stakeout. All dimensions, elevations and locations shall
be verified in the field by each contractor prior to beginning the work. The Engineer will approve all cut sheets.
4. Contractor to obtain, at his expense, all permits required of this work and shall faithfully adhere to the permit
conditions imposed.
FIRE & RESCUE
1. Buming of land clearing debris requires a permit from the Fire Marshal. Burning of construction debris on site is prohibited.
2. Access for emergency vehicles must be maintained at all times durim construction. Temporary street signs and
addresses must be posted as construction begins. Parked vehicles and 31acling of construction materials are prohibited
within 20' of fire hydrants. Fire Hydrants are not to be obstructed at any lime.
