I . The contractor shall furnish oil materials, labor and equipment and perform all work including restoration for the
completed installation of the utility systems and all other improvements shown or implied as necessary for the
completed facility ready for use. Unless otherwise noted, s fications for all work to be in accordance with
applicable Standards and Construction Specifications of The inia Department of Transportation, Virginia
Department of Health, Frederick County Sanitation Authority E� !�� contract documents.
2. The engineer has attempted to locate existing subsurface utilities; however, such may exist that are not shown.
The contractor shall exercise care this work so as to avoid damage to any utilities. Any damage shall be the
contractor's res onsibility. The contractor shall notify all utility companies 72 hours prior to construction. Call "Miss
Utilit�h 1-800152-7001.
3. e contractor shall be responsible for all construction stakeout. All dimensions, elevations and locations shall
be verified in the field by each contractor prior to beginning the work. The Engineer will approve all cut sheets.
4. Contractor to obtain, at his expense, all permits required of this work and shall faithfully adhere to the permit
conditions imposed.
-FIRE & RESCUE
1. Burning of land clearing debris requires a permit from the Fire Marshal. Burning of construction debris on site is prohibited.
2. Access for emergency vehicles must be maintained at all times during construction. Temporary street signs and
addresses must be posted as construction begins. Parked veh I cles and staging of construction materials are prohibited

within 20' of fire hydrants. Fire Hydra�ts ore not to be obstructed at any time.
