We have enclosed the site plan for parking lot improvements at the REMAC site on Smithfield, just east of (tent
Street. The plan shows new pavement to meet the County requirements with regard to employee parking. We
also provide a handicap parking space and a small pad at the loading dock at the west side of the building. We
do not anticipate much excavation to pave the gravel surface that exists now. The only new pavement is the
ADA accessible space and the associated walkway. No other changes to the site are proposed. The building
access and use remain the same.
Currently, as a condition of the occupancy permit, these improvements have been bonded and they were
supposed to be completed by January 2011. It is apparent that, with the weather, the new pavement cannot be
installed until the spring. We request an extension of the temporary occupancy permit until 31 august 2011. The
existing bond would remain in place until the improvements are completed.
Please call me if you have questions.
Two sets of plans, the POA, the completed application and the minor site plan fee are enclosed.
