SITE PLAN CHECKLIST
The checklist below indicates all the information. -that needs to be -submitted as part of the site plan
application. All required information must.be submitted prior to the final approval of any site plan.
The Department of Planning and Development will review the application to ensure that it is complete.
If any portion is not included or complete, the site plan application will not be accepted and returned
to the applicant(s).
Site Plan Package
1. One set of approved comment sheets are required from the following review
agencies prior to final site plan approval. It is recommended that applicants contact
the Department of Planning and Development to determine which review agencies
are relevant to their site plan application.

Frederick County sanitation Authority
Department of Planning and Development
Inspections Department
Frederick County Engineer (Public Works)
Frederick County Fire Marshal
Department of Parks and Recreation
2. One copy of the Site Plan application
3. Five Copies of the Final Site Plan for approval
4. One reproducible copy of the Site Plan (if required)
5. A 35mm slide of the Site Plan (if required)

I have reviewed the above referenced site plan. The submittal appears to meet most of the necessary
zoning requirements with the following two minor exceptions:
1. Please provide the entrance design plan, as approved by VDOT, as page 2 of this site plan.
2. Correct the spelling for "Turfstone" in the paver detail title.
These minor comments have been discussed with Mr. Mike Artz.
Once you have received approval comments from the necessary review agencies, please submit five
copies of the final site plan and all review agency comments to this department for approval. Upon
receipt of this information, the County will be prepared to approved the site plan. The necessary
review agencies are: Fire Marshal, Inspections Department, Virginia Department of Transportation,
Health Department, and the County Engineer.
Once the improvements as illustrated on the approved site plan are completed, this site will be in
conformance with the conditional use permit that has been issued by the Frederick County Board of
Supervisors.

This letter is in reference to the Hackwood Minor Site Plan . I am sending this letter to explain why
I have disapproved the plan. The Fin Marhsal's office is concerned with fire apparatus access to
the site. The site plan does show in detail utilities, overhead or underground, and existing trees
which may inhibit fire apparatus access.
Typically, the site plan does need to be drawn to scale, and identify those items described above.
A 20 foot access to support fire apparatus is required and provisions can be made as to not disturb
the natural appearance of the site.
