The checklist below indicates all the information -that needs to be submitted as part of the site plan
application. All required information must -be submitted prior to the final approval of any site plan.
The Department of Planning and Development will review the application to ensure that it is complete.
If any portion is not included or complete, the site plan application will not be accepted and returned
to the applicant(s).

Dear Len:
The Frederick County Planning Department administratively approved the above referenced site plans
on June 29, 1998. These site plans, for the construction of a 100' monopole tower at the Little Timber
Ridge site, a 125' monopole tower at the Bowling Green Ridge site, a 350' lattice tower at the Hunting
Ridge site, and a 300' lattice tower at the Sherando site meet all County requirements for development
within the RA (Rural Areas) zoning district and are consistent with the conditions of the approved
Conditional Use Permits approved by the Frederick County Board of Supervisors on April 8, 1998.
I have provided you with three copies of each of the approved site plans. Please keep an approved copy
for your files and maintain an approved copy on the construction site. Once the site developments have
been completed, please contact this office to schedule an on -site inspection.

This letter is to confirm action taken by the Frederick County Board of Supervisors at their meeting of
April 8, 1998.
Your Conditional Use Permit, #022-97 for the construction of a 350-foot, three -sided, self-supporting
galvanized steel tower, with a waiver of the monopole requirement, was approved with the following
conditions:
1. All review agency comments shall be complied with at all times.
2. The tower shall be available for co -locating comparable communication service
providers.
3. The commercial telecommunications facility shall be removed by the applicant or
landowner within one year of the abandonment of operation.
4. A minor site plan is approved by the County.

The Federal Aviation Administration hereby acknowledges receipt of
notice dated 12/05/97 concerning the proposed construction or
alteration contained herein.
A study has been conducted under the provisions of Part 77 of the
Federal Aviation Regulations to determine whether the proposed
construction would be an obstruction to air navigation, whether it
should be marked and lighted to enhance safety in air navigation,
and whether supplemental notice of start and completion of
construction is required to permit timely charting and notification
to airmen. The findings of that study are as follows:
The proposed construction would not exceed FAA obstruction
standards and would not be a hazard to air navigation.
However, the following applies to the construction proposed:
The structure should be obstruction marked and lighted per FAA
Advisory Circular AC 70/7460-1J, 'Obstruction Marking and
Lighting. CHAPTERS: [] -3 [-4 [] -5 [] -6 [] -7

Supplemental notice is required at least 10 days before the
start of construction and within five days after construction
reaches its greatest height (use the enclosed FAA form).
This determination expires on 08/09/98 unless application is
made, (if subject to the licensing authority of the Federal
Communications Commission), to the FCC before that date, or it
is otherwise extended, revised or terminated.
If the structure is subject to the licensing authority of the
FCC, a copy of this acknowledgement will be sent to that agency.
