All required information must be submitted prior to the final approval of any site plan. The Department of Planning and Development will review the application to ensure that it is complete. If any portion is not included or complete, the site plan application will not be accepted and returned to the applicant(s). Site Plan Package 1. This site plan, for the construction of a 2,400 square foot building addition to the existing church facility, meets all County requirements for development within the RA (Rural Area) zoning district. I previously provided you with several copies of the approved site plan. Please ensure that two approved copies have been forwarded to the property owner, and advise them to keep an approved copy for their files and maintain an approved copy on the construction site. VDOT comments are as follows and as shown in red on Plan Sheets 2 of 3. (Plans are being mailed under separate cover). 1. A 12' right turn lane with a 2' shoulder and a modified roadway ditch should be provided as shown. Also any necessary adjustment to existing 12" culvert at the "Mohawk Motel" entrance to provide intake at invert should be done. 2. Replace (upgrade size) of the existing site entrance from 12" to 15". The entrance should be designated as CG-11. 3. A 12' W x 36' L taper should be provided on the west side of the entrance. 4. A north arrow should be provided on the plan. 5. All miscellaneous comments on the plans should be addressed. When all the above comments have been addressed please provide one copy of revised plans for review. Once we have confirmed all concerns have been addressed and plans can be approved, a request for additional plans will be sent with our approval notice. The permit is issued by this office and will require a minimum processing fee, surety bond coverage, and the salary & expenses of a State assigned Inspector. Once satisfactory application has been made, a permit will normally take approximately thirty days to process and issue.
