The contractor shall furnish a// materials, labor and equipment and perform a// work including restoration for the completed installation of the utility systems and all other improvements shown or implied as necessary for the completed facility ready for use. Unless otherwise noted, specifications for ol/ work to be in accordance with applicable Stondords and Construction Specifications of The birginia Deportment of Transportation, r1rginia Dept. of Health, Frederick County Sanitation Authority and the contract documents. 2. The engineer has attempted to locate existing subsurface utilities; however, such may exist that are not shown. The contractor shall exercise core in this work so as to avoid damage to any utilities. Any damage shall be the contractor's responsibility. The Contractor shall notify a// utility companies 72 hours prior to construction. Cal/ Miss Utility' 1-800-257-7777. J. The contractor shall be responsible for al/ construction stakeout. All dimensions, elevations and locations sholl be field verified by each contractor prior to beginning the work. 4. Any unusual subsurface conditions encountered during the course of the work sholl be immediately brought to the attention of the Engineer ond� or the Owner. 5. All grading for improvements to be confined to the project area. Any work performed offsite is the Contractor's responsibility. 6. Contractor to obtain, at N; expense, o/I permits required of this work and shall faithfuly adhere to the permit conditions imposed. 7. Design features relating to construction or to regulation, control and scfety of traffic moy be subject to change as deemed necessary by the vrginra Deportment of Transportation. 8. A/i fi11base and subsurface moterra/ shall be compacted to 95X of theoretical maximum density as determined by AASHO—T--99 method A, within plus or minus 2X of optimum moisture for the full width of any dedicated right—of—way. Compaction in other areas to be 90X Independent compaction test results may be required for verification at direction of VDOT Inspector. 9. Access for emergency vehicles must be maintained at a// times. Temporary street s,gns must be posted as construction begins. Access to fire hydrants is not to be impeded at anytime by construction materials, Parked tors, etc. cars etc.. 70. Cutsheets sholl be submitted to the Engineer for approval prior to construction. All cutsheets should show existing ground elevations at centerline of utility, structure or road, and offset hub elevation. 1. VDOT approval of this Site Plan expires 3 years from date of approval. 12. It is the contractor's responsibility to meet compliance requirements with SEC. 59. 1-406, ET SEO. of the Code of Vlr9in/o (Overhead High Voltage Lmes Safety Act) 13. Temporary and permanent erosion control structures and methods to be in accordance with the Klrginic Erosion Control Guidelines and local ordinances and to be utilized during the construction period. 14. All erosion control structures shown or as required during construction shall be continuously maintained throughout the period in which areas ore denuded. Areas shown to be surfaced are to hove_ stone base installed of the earliest possible dote after establishing grade. No area is to remain denuded for more than 30 calendar days when construction is not in progress. 15. All unpaved areas of the site which ore disturbed by this construction shall be provided with 4' topsoil, fertilized, seeded, compacted and mulched. Seedbed to be watered and cored for as necessary to provide a good /own quality gross cover. .Areas not graded shall be disced, leveled and seeded to achieve /own conditions. 16. Woter and sewer lines are to be constructed in accordance w/th these plans and specification and shall odditronolly meet al/ requirements of the f?ederick County Sanitation Authority. The contractor shall coordinate with this agency and arrange for inspection by the County as necessary. 17. Contractor to clean—up and restore disturbed areas immediately upon completion of pipe —laying in the affected oreo. 18. Exact locations for sewer and water services to be directed by the Frederick County Sanitation Authority Inspector in the field. Contractor to provide assistance as the Inspector may require in this effort. 19. Vegetation Plan: All gross areas to be seeded with o mixture of Marion Kentucky Bluegrass at a rate of 2-3 Ibs per 1,000 sf and Anuuol .Rye of a rate of 1 /b per 1,000 sf. Newly seeded areas shall be mulched at a rote of 70-120 lbs. per 7,000 sf, Adequate watering and fertilization are required to aid the emergence of new gross. 20. Temporary termination of sewer line shall be plugged with a watertight plug. The end of the lateral shall be marked with a treated 2x4 post extending from the plug to eighteen (18) inches above the ground. The top six (6) inches of the post shall be pointed green. 21. New connections to existing sanitary sewer manholes will be made by core drilling the manhole. 22. The Sanitation Authority maintenance dept. is responsible for the mstollotion of water meters. Before a permanent meter is set, they require 1) the frame and cover to be properly aligned with its meter box and yoke bar, 2)1he frame and cover to be set to the Anal grade of the lot, 3)the distance between the top of the cover and yoke bar be between 18 and 21 inches, and 4) all components be between 18 and 21 inches, and 4) a// components of the meter box assembly to be in proper working order. It is Deveioper's'� Contractor's responsibility to hove the meter box assembly installed correct/y. 23. Burning of land clearing debris requires a permit from the Fire Marshal's Office.
