The contractor shall fumish all materials, labor and equipment and perform all work including restoration for the completed installation of the utility systems and a// other improvements shown or implied as necessary for the completed foci/ty ready for use. Unless otherwise noted, specifications for all work to be in accordance with applicable Standards and Construction Specifications of The Virginia Deportment of Transportation, Virginia Dept. of Health, Frederick County Sanitotion Authority and the contract documents. 2. The engineer has attempted to locate existing subsurface utilities; however, such may exist that are not shown. The contractor shall exercise core in this work so as to avoid damage to any utilities. Any damage shall be the contractors responsibility. The Contractor shall notify a// utility companies 72 hours prior to construction. Call 'Miss Utility' 1-800-257-7777. J. The contractor shall be responsible for all construction stakeout. All dimensions, elevations and locations shall be field verified by each contractor prior to beginning the work The engineer will approve oil cut sheets. 4. Any unusual subsurface conditions encountered during the course of the work shall be immediate/v brought to the attention of the work shall be immediate/v brought to the attention of the Engineer andlor Owner. 5. A/1 grading for improvements to be confined to the project area. Any work performed offsite is the Contractors responsibility. 6. Contractor to obtain, at his expense, al/ permits required of this work and shall faithfully adhere to the permit conditions imposed. Design features relating to construction or to regulation, control and safety of traffic .may be subject to change os deemed necessary by the Krginia Department of Transportation. 8. All fill, base and subsurface motenal shall be compacted to 95X of theoretical moxin;um density as determined by AASHO-T 99 method A within plus or minus 2X of optimum moisture for the full' width of any dedicated right-of-woy. Compaction in other areas to be 9OX. 9. Access for emergency vehicles must be maintained at a// times. Temporary street signs must be posted as construction begins. Access to fire hydrants /s not to be impeded at anytime by construction materials, : orked cars, etc. cars etc.. 10. Cutsheets shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval prior to construction. All cutsheets should show existing ground elevations at centerline of utility, structure or rood, and offset hub elevation. 11. VDOT approval of this Site Plan expires J years from dote of approval. 12. It is the contractor's responsibility to meet compliance requirements with SEC. 59. 1-406, ET SEO. of the Code of r1rg1nio (Overhead High Voltage Lines Safety Act) IJ. Temporary and permanent erosion control structures and methods to be in accordance with the Vrginio Erosion Control Guidelines and local ordinances and to be utilized during the construction period. 14. All erosion control structures shown or as required during construction shall be continuously maintained throughout the period in which areas are denuded. Areas shown to be surfaced are to have stone base instolled at the earliest possible date after establishing grade. No area is to remain denuded for more than JO calendar days when construction is not in progress. 15. All unpaved areas of the site which are disturbed by this construction shall be provided with 4' topsoil, fertilized, seeded, compacted and mulched. Seedbed to be watered and cored for as necessary to provide a good lawn quality gross cover. Areas not graded shall be disced, leveled and seeded to achieve /own conditions. 16. Water and sewer /fines ore to be constructed in accordance with these plans and specification and shall additional/y meet all requirements of the Frederick County Sanitation Authority. The contractor shall coordinate with this agency and arrange for inspection by the County as necessary. 17. Contractor to clean-up and restore disturbed areas immediately upon completion of pipe -laying 17 the affected area. 18. Exact locations for sewer and water services to be directed by the Frederick County Sanitation Authority Inspector in the field. Contractor to provide assistance as the Inspector may require in thr's effort. 79. Vegetation Plan: All gross areas to be seeded with c mixture of Marion Kentucky Bluegrass at a rote of 2-3 /bs per 1,000 sf and Anuuol Rye at a rote of 1 lb per 1,000 sf. Newly seeded areas shall be mulched at orate of 70-120 lbs. per 1,000 sf. Adequate watering and fertilization ore required to aid the emergence of new gross. 20. Temporary termination of sewer line shall be plugged with o watertight plug. The end of the lateral shall be marked with a treated 2x4 post extending from the plug to eighteen (18) inches above the ground. The top six (6) inches of the post shall be painted green. 21. New connections to existing sanitary sewer manholes will be mode by core drilling the manhole. 22. The Sanitation Authority maintenance dept is responsible for the installation of water meters. Before a permanent meter is set they require 1) the frome and cover to be properly aligned with its meter box and yoke bar, 2)the frame and cover to be set to the final grade of the lot, J)the distance between the top of the cover and yoke bar be between 18 and 21 inches, and 4) a// components be between 78 and 21 inches, and 4) all components of the meter box assembly to be in proper working order. It is Developer's Contractor's responsibility to have the meter box ossemb/y installed correct/y. 23. Burning of land clearing debris requires o permit from the Fre Marshal's Office.
