completed installatior, of the utility systems and all other improvements shown or implied as necessary for the
completed facility reody for use. Unless otherwise noted, specrficatrons for all work to be in accordance with
I phcabie Standards and Construction Specifications of The Virginia Department of Transportation, Virginia
Department of Health, Frederick County Sanitation Authority and the contract documents.
2 The engineer has attempted to locate e4sbng subsurface utilities; however, such may exist that are not shown.

5. Contractor to obtain, of his expense, all permits required of this work and shall faithfully adhere to the permit
conditions imposed.
6. All gqrading for improvements to be confined to the project area. Any work performed offsite is the Contractor's
responsibility.
EROSION CONTROL
! A Land Disturbance Permit may be required prior to initiating any site work This permit can be obtoined from the
Frederick County Public Works Department.
2. Temporary and permanent erosion control structures and methods to be in occordance with the Virginia
Erosion Contro! Guidelines and local ordinance-, and to be utilized during the construction period.
3 All erosion control structures shown or as required during construction shall be continuously maintained
throughout the penod in which areas are denuded. Areas shown to be surfaced are to have stone base installed
at the earliest possible date ofter establishing grade No area is to remain denuded for more than 7 calendar days
when construction is not in progress
4 Contractor to aeon up and restore disturbed oreas immediately upon completion of pipe -toying in the affected
5. AUI unpaved areas of the site which are disturbed by this construction shall be provided with 4" topsoil,
fertilized, seeded, composted and mulched. Seed bed to be watered and cared for as necessary to provide a
good lawn quality gross cover. Areas not graded shall be disced, leveled and seeded to achieve lawn conditions.
FIRE & RELI

FREDERICK COUNTY SANITATION AUTHORITY
1. Water and sewer lines are to be constructed in accordance with these plans and specifications and shalt
additionally meet all requirements of the Frederick County Sonitotion Authority. The contractor shall coordinate
with this agency and arrange for inspection by the Sonrtation Authority os necessary.
?. Exact focotrons for .sewer and water services to be directed by the Frederick Canty Sanitation Authority
Inspector in the field. Contractor to provide assistance as the inspector may require in this effort.
3. Temporary termination of sewer fine shall be plugged with a watertight plug. The ends of the laterals stroll be
rnarked with a treated 2x4 post extending from th6 plug eighteen (18) inches above the ground. The top six (6)
inches of the post sho!i be painted green. Sewer lateral elevations to be compatible with gravity service to proposed
buildings as shown on the Architectural drawings.
4. The FCSA is responsible for the installation of water meters. Before a permanent meter is set they will require:
1) the trame and �rwer be properly otigned with its meter box and yoke bar, 2) the frome and cover be set to final
grade of the lot, 3) the distance between the top of the cover and the yoke bar be between 18 and 21 inches, and 4)
oli components of he meter box assembly to be in proper working order. It is the contractor's responsibility to have
the meter box installed correctly.
5. The Frederick County Sanitation Authority sholl install all water and sewer services that connect to existing lines.
The location of the tap and the terminotion point of the loterol are to be coordinated with the Authority's assistant
6. The Frederick County Sanitation .Authority shall tap all existing *ate will furnish, the materials for and

3. All erosion control structures shown or as required during construction shall be continuously maintained
throughout the period in which areas are denuded. Areas shown to be surfaced are to have stone base installed

FREDERICK COUNTY SANITATION AUTHORITY
1 Water and sewer lines are to be constructed in accordance with these plans and specifications and shall
additionally meet all requirements of the Frederick County Sanitation Authority. The contractor shall coordinate
with this agency and arrange for inspection by the Sonrtotion Authority as necessary.
2. Exact locations for sewer and water services to be directed by the Frederick County Sanitation Authority
inspector in the field. Contractor to provide assistance as the inspector may require in this effort.
3. Temporary termination of sewer line shall be plugged with a wytertuht plug. The ends of the laterals shall be
marked with a treated 2x4 post extending from the plug eighteen 118) Inches above the grouna. The top six (6)
inches of the post shall be painted green, Sewer la eral elevations to be compatible with gravity serv*ce to proposed
buildings as shown on the Architectural drawings.
4. The FCSA is responsible for the installation of water meters. Before a permanent meter is set they will require:
1) the frame and cover be property aligned with its meter box and yoke bar, 2) the frame and cover be set to final
grade of the lot, 3) the distance between the top of the cover and the yoke bar be between 18 and 21 inches, and 4)
all components of the meter box assembly to be in proper working order. It is the contractor's responsibility to have
the meter box installed correctly.
5. The Frederick County Sanitation Authority shall install all water and sewer services that connect to existing lines.
The iocotion of the top and the termination point of the lateral are to be coordinated with the Authority's assistant
6. The Frederick County Sanitation Authority shall tap all existing waterlines. They will furnish the materials for and
make the top. The contractor must make application for and pay the cost of this work.
7 Frederick County Sanitation Authority approval of this site pion expires two (2) years from date of approval.
