Other Code that applies is ICC/ANSI A117.1-98 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities. Plans submitted for permits shall be sealed by a Virginia Design Professional. This includes structural and systems on the assembly use. Special inspections under Chapter 17 IBC is required on this type structure. (soils, concrete, steel etc.) Silo additions shall be permitted under Utility use group in the IBC. Please be aware that if Unlimited Area Building under section 507 IBC is utilized a min. 60 ft. to property line is required to maintain zero fire rating on the exterior walls. Minimum distance is 40 ft. with a two hour fire rating.
