The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor and equipment and perform all work including restoration for the completed installation of the utility systems and all other improvements shown or implied as necessary for the completed facility ready for use. Unless otherwise noted, specifications for all work to be in accordance with applicable Standards and Construction Specifications of The Virginia Department of Transportation, Virginia Department of Health, Frederick County, and the contract documents. 2, The engineer has attempted to locate existing subsurface utilities; however, such may exist that are not shown. The contractor shall exercise care in this work so as to avoid damage to any utilities. Any damage shall be the contractor's respponsibilityy. The contractor shall notify all utility companies 72 hours prior to construction. Call "Miss Utility" 1-800-257-7777. 3. The contractor shall be responsible for all construction stakeout. All dimensions, elevations and locations shall be verified in the field by each contractor prior to beginning the work. The Engineer will approve all cut sheets. 4. Any unusual subsurface conditions encountered during the course of the work shall be immediately brought to the attention of the Engineer and/or the Owner. 5. Water and sewer lines are to be constructed in accordance with these plans. The lines shall additionally meet all re uirements of the Frederick Count Sanitation Authorit . 2. The contractor shall coordinate with,, and arrange for inspection by, the Authority. 3. Exact locations of water and sewer services on new lines are to be coordinated with the Authority's inspector. 4. The Sanitation Authority's maintenance department is responsible for the installation of water meters through 2' in size. Before a permanent meter is set they require: 1) the frame and cover be properly aligned with its meter box and yoke bar; 2) the frame and cover be set to the final grade of the lot; 3) the distance between the top of the cover and the yoke bar be between 18 and 21 inches; and 4) all components of the meter box assembly to be in proper working order.
