The site plan meets all requirements for development in the RA Zoning District. Currently, there are no adverse comments by any of the required review agencies; however, any future comments by these agencies should be addressed promptly. Below is a list of the primary improvements of this development: • Construction of a 769 square -foot building addition for use as storage. • 17 parking spaces, includingeight additional spaces and one handicapped: one loading space. • Planting of 28 evergreen hedges. • Relocation of the entrance off Route l l /Martinsburg Pike and removal ofthe existing entrance from Route 669/Rest Church Road. • Installation/relocation of curb and gutter. Staff' recommends the planting of trees throughout the property to appropriately shade paved areas, to minimize noise and glare, and to improve the general appearance of the site. A few well placed trees would significantly contribute to the site! Response: Although no landscaping is required, the owner feels head light screening is important and has agreed to provide such landscaping. However, due to the significant expenses imposed on the owner as a result of VDOT's project, additional landscaping will not tx: provided.
