REVIEW COMMENTS: 1) Parking Lot Improvements. The following parking lot improvements should be provided ( see attached site plan for recommended changes): A) Parking Lot Islands. Nine -foot -wide landscaped parking lot islands should be provided at the end of all parking bays. Staff will accept a striped asphalt island at least three feet wide as an alternate method. B) Dimension Changes. All parking spaces need to be a minimum of 180 square feet. Please change the dimensions of the proposed parking spaces as necessary. Parking facing Route 50 should be eliminated because there is inadequate width for both rows of parking and the required aisle width. The sidewalk should extend the length of the parking bay. C) Striping. All parking spaces and islands must be striped with all-weather paint. Please make this clear on the proposed site plan by providing a statement. D) Landscaping. The system was installed in an unsuitable landscape position, and is prone to malfunction. Construction plans and specifications submitted to this office for the new post office adjacent to the subject property indicate that the discharge point for the sewage disposal system serving the post office is approximately 35 feet from the well serving the proposed medical office building.
