EROSION AND SILTATION CONTROL NARRATIVE
Proiecx Description
The developer proposes to build an additional 5,520 square feet of retail and food services ace to the existing 3 60 P 9 0
i
Square foot building. The building site s a 5 acre tract. The construdtion area is a portion of the existing paved area used
for access and vehicular circulation. There will be minimal disturbance of vegetated land. The rear parking area will
disturb about 84,00 square feet. The increase in runoff attributable to this additional impervious area will be less that 1
cfs. Storer water runoff will leave the site as sheet flow from the parking lot and eventually enter the channel along
Route 50. No storm water detention is proposed for this project.
Existing Site Conditions
The site drains toward the southeast to an unnamed tributary of Hogue Creek, Slopes are generally less than 2.01,S%
The site is the location of the Hogue Creek Market, Vegetation consisting of immature woodlands exists on the northern
perimeter of the site.
Adiacent Areas
The site is bordered on three sides by residential land. To the south is the Rotate 50 right-of-way.
Off -side Areas
No disturbance to off site areas is anticipated.
Soils.
According to the Soil Survey of Frederick County, soils on the site are Monongahela gravely loam. This soil is not
considered prime farmland. This soil is generally deep and formed in alluvium weathered shale or sandstone.
Critical Areas
There are' no critical areas on the site to be developed.

required repair's shall be made Immediately, Damaged, decomposed or otherwise ineffective silt fence shall be
replaced. Sediment deposits should be removed after each storm event. They must be removed when deposits
reach approximately one-half the height of the bamer. Any sediment deposits remaining in place after the silt
fence is no longer needed shall be dressed to conform with the existing grade and stabilized`;

Project •,Qesoriotlpn
Tf1e- developer proposes to build an additional 5,520 square feet of retail and food service spac
e e to the existing 3,600'
square foot building. The building site is a 5 acre tract. The construction area is a portion of the existing paved area used
for access and vehicular circulation. There will be minimal disturbance of vegetated land, The rear parking area will
disturb about 6400 square feet. The increase in runoff attributable to this additional impervious area will be less that 1
cis. Storm water runoff will leave the site as sheet flow from the parking lot and eventually enter the channel along
Route 50. No storm water detention is proposed for this project.
Existing S6te Conditions
The site drains toward the southeast to an unnamed tributary of Hogue Creek. Slopes are generally less than 2.0°t %
The site is the location of the Hogue Creek Market. Vegetation consisting of immature woodlands exists on the northern
perimeter of the site.
Adlaca;nt Areas
The site is 'bordered on three sides by residential land. To the south is the Route 50 right-of-way. gh4-of way.
