1. ALL EROSION AND SEDIMEiNT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSTALLED PRIOR
TO ANY LAND DISTURBING AC'.TIVITY. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE CURRENT EDITION OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA EROSION AND
SEDIMENT CONTROL HANDBOOK.

SITE SUPERINTENDENT OR HIS; REPRESENTATIVE. ANY DAMAGED STRUCTURES SHALL

5. UPON COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION, ALL PERMANENT EROSION AND SEDIMENT
CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSTALLED. AFTER STABILIZATION, THE TEMPORARY
EROSION CONTROL DEVICES SHALL BE REMOVED AS APPROVED BY THE LOCAL
INSPECTION AUTHORITY. ALL, VEGETATIVE COVER SHALL BE CHECKED REGULARLY
AND ANY DAMAGED AREAS SHALL BE REPAIRED, FERTILIZED, REPLANTED AND
MULCHED AS NECESSARY.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ADEQUATE MEANS OF CLEANING TRUCKS AND
OTHER CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO ENTERING THE PUBLIC R-O-W. IT IS
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THIE CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN CLEAN STREETS AND
ALLAY DUST AT ALL TIMES.
EXCAVATION AND GRADING:
1. ALL TOPSOIL SHALL BE EXCAVATED TO ITS FULL DEPTH AND STOCKPILED ON -
SITE FOR FUTURE USE.
2. ALL BORROW FILL MATERNAL, IF NECESSARY, SHALL BE OBTAINED BY THE
CONTRACTOR AND BE APPROVED BY A CERTIFIED GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER. ALL
FILL MATERIAL SHALL BE }PLACED IN LIFTS OF 8" OR LESS AND SHALL BE
COMPACTED TO 95% OF ASTM D-698 MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY, OR AS DIRECTED BY
THE GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEEIR.
3. NO BLASTING SHALL BE PERMITTED WITHIN 25 FEET OF EXISTING UTILITIES
OR STRUCTURES WITHOUT PEFRMISSI:ON OF THE OWNER.
4. ALL ISLAND AND LAWN AREAS SHALL RECEIVE A MINIMUM OF 6" TOPSOIL,

SHOWN AND SHOULD BE LOCATED. THEREFORE, IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY
OF THE CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY THE LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES
PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THESE PLANS AND THE

5. UPON COMPLETION OF CONSURUCTI:ON, ALL PERMANENT EROSION AND SEDIMENT
CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSTALLED. AFTER STABILIZATION, THE TEMPORARY
EROSION CONTROL DEVICES SHALL BE REMOVED AS APPROVED BY THE LOCAL
INSPECTION AUTHORITY. ALL VEGETATIVE COVER SHALL BE CHECKED REGULARLY
AND ANY DAMAGED AREAS SHALL BE REPAIRED, FERTILIZED, REPLANTED AND
MULCHED AS NECESSARY.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PRtOVIDE ADEQUATE MEANS OF CLEANING TRUCKS AND
OTHER CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO ENTERING THE PUBLIC R-0-W. IT IS
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN CLEAN STREETS AND
ALLAY DUST AT ALL TIMES.
EXCAVATION AND GRADING:
1. ALL TOPSOIL SHALL BE EXICAVATED TO ITS FULL DEPTH AND STOCKPILED ON -
SITE FOR FUTURE USE.
2. ALL BORROW FILL MATERIAL, IF NECESSARY, SHALL BE OBTAINED BY THE
CONTRACTOR AND BE APPROVED BY A CERTIFIED GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER. ALL
FILL MATERIAL SHALL BE PILACED IN LIFTS OF 8" OR LESS AND SHALL BE
COMPACTED TO 95% OF ASTM b-698 MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY, OR AS DIRECTED BY

3. NO BLASTING SHALL BE PERMITTED WITHIN 25 FEET OF EXISTING UTILITIES
OR STRUCTURES WITHOUT PERMZISSION OF THE OWNER.
4. ALL ISLAND AND LAWN ARREAS SHALL RECEIVE A MINIMUM OF 6" TOPSOIL,
GRADED AND RAKED, PRIOR TO APPLICATION OF PERMANENT VEGETATIVE COVER.
WATER MAIN:
1. A WATER SERVICE SHALL BE CONNECTED TO THE EXISTING WELL TO PROVIDE
THE WATER 'TO THE PROPOSED 'ICE CREAM STAND. ALL WORK AND MATERIALS SHALL
BE AS DIRECTED BY THE CODES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE VIRGINIA

SANITARY SEWER:
1. THE SEWER SERVICE FOFZ THE PROPOSED ICE CREAM TRAILER SHALL BE
CONNECTED TO THE EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEM. THIS CONNECTION HAS BEEN
GRANTED BY THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.
STORM WATER MANAGEMENT:
1. NO STORM WATER MANAGEMENT FACILITIES ARE PROPOSED FOR THIS SITE. THE
EXISTING STORM WATER MANAGEMENT POND HAS BEEN SIZED TO CONTROL THE POST
DEVELOPED RUNOFF FOR FULLY DEVELOPED CONDITIONS FOR LOT 1 AND LOT 21
AS INDICATED ON THE PLANS. RECENTLY DEMOLISHED.
