Dear Mr. Wyatt:
For your review and use, please find enclosed response to the comments received in your
letter dated February 10, 1995. All previous agency review comments have been forwarded
to your office under separate cover.
1. Enclosed copies have a Commonwealth of Virginia Registered Professional Engineers
Certificate.
2. Use and zoning of the property on the south side of Airport Road has been noted on
Sheet 4 of 14.
3. The parcel information for the Winchester Regional Airport (Exhibit "A") has been
forwarded to your office under separate cover.
4. The site development summary has been revised to show the total Airport area for the
Winchester Regional Airport as 307.6 acres.
5. It is unclear where the building restriction line distance should be measurered.
Currently, there are no side boundaries to the existing lot being developed since the
Airport parcel runs linear along Airport Road and State Route 645. Please advise our
office of any changes you wish to make to the Site Plan.
6. The height of the proposed corporate hangar has been noted as 25' .
7. Currently there are no plans for locating a sign on or near the new corporate hangar.

8. The location of outdoor lighting fixtures for the parking lot area have been shown on
Sheet 4 of 14. In addition, based on review of the Building Plans, there appears to be
no outdoor storage areas or no outdoor trash receptacles.
9. Based on similar installation at the Airport, there are no easements for sewer and
water utilities. Therefore, none have been dedicated on the Site Plan.
10. The parking space calculations have been revised to show 20 employee/aircraft owner
parking spaces and 23 office parking spaces for a total of 43 parking spaces required.
In addition, two parking spaces for the disabled have been noted.
11. The dimensions for the parking spaces have been revised to ensure that 180 square
feet are provided for each regular parking space.
12. The marking for the disabled parking spaces is shown on Sheet 11 of 14. This
marking is in accordance with the diagrams included in this letter. In addition, a
sidewalk ramping (CG-12) is included in front of the proposed corporate hangar.
13. Our office has coordinated with Mr. Robert B. Childress of VDOT concerning the
location of the parking lot near the State Route 645 right-of-way.
Enclosed for your use and approval are five copies of the final Site Plans which address the
comments stated above. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do
not hesitate to contact our office.
