The checklist below indicates all the information=that needs to be -submitted as part of the site plan
application. All required information must.be submitted prior to the final approval of any site plan.
The Department of Planning and Development will review the application to ensure that it is complete.
If any portion is not included or complete, the site- plan application will not be accepted and returned
to the applicant(s).

Dear Mr. Wallace:
The Frederick County Department of Planning and Development administratively approved the above
referenced site plan on February 21, 2001. The primary improvements to the property that this site
plan is approved for are as follows:
• Proposed 73' X 374' Warehouse Addition with a Proposed Cold Storage Area
• Proposed (Alternate 1) 70' X 152' Warehouse Addition
• The relocation of the Truck Parking Area, previously approved in Site Plan #14-00 (permitted
to be graveled, not paved, per Zoning Administrator approval).
• The planting of 19 trees to meet the parking landscaping requirements
• Establishment of a 20' Emergency Access Road
As of this date, all comment sheets have been approved. Future issues that may arise with these
agencies or departments should be addressed accordingly.
I am providing you with several copies of the approved site plan. Please forward these to the
appropriate representative for Kraft Foods Incorporated. Furthermore, please advise the owner that
a copy should be kept for future reference and an approved copy must be kept on the construction site
throughout the development process. Once site development is complete, the owner needs to contact
this office to schedule an on -site inspection.

Dear Mr, Wallace:
Staff appreciates your recent revision of the proposed building additions for Kraft Foods, Inc. Unfortunately,
two issues from our first review comments have not been addressed at this time. These are as follows:
Please correct the building dimensions on Page COI as you did on the other pages of the site plan.
Apparently the building dimensions are 70 x 152, rather than 73 x 152.
Please change the proposed trailer parking area to provide curb & gutter, pavement, and the required
perimeter and interior landscaping. Based on the sketch of the parking area on the current plan, the
required number of trees for the landscaping requirements is as follows:
A. Perimeter landscaping = (676ft / 40) 16.9 = 17 trees
trees are to be deciduous and between 2 - 2 ! inches in caliber
B. Interior landscaping = (19 spaces) = 2 shade trees
trees are to be deciduous and between 2 - 2 % inches in caliber
A 24' wide (paved) driveway also needs to be added to provide access to the parking area.
Furthennore, curb & gutter and pavement specifications need to be provided for this area.
After you have revised the site plan, please resubmit one copy so that I may verify the information contained
on the plan. I will need all approved agency comment sheets and at least five copies of the final plan for
approval. A comment sheet from the Sanitation Authority has not been received yet.

Expansion. Unfortunately, at this time there are 17 issues that need to be addressed before we can
consider site plan approval. I have enclosed a marked copy of the site plan for you. The red
markings on this plan should coordinate with the various issues listed below.

to provide seven handicap spaces based on your parking estimate. The site plan you
provided us with only shows one handicap space.
,, 13. Please provide the location of all outdoor lighting fixtures. If no new outdoor lighting is
proposed, please provide a statement to that effect. Furthermore, for existing or proposed
lighting, please provide a statement to the effect that all lighting will be directed away from
adjoining properties and roads.
14. Please provide the location of all signs proposed on the property. If no signs are proposed, please
provide a statement to that effect.
