Dear Mr. Spitler:
The Frederick County Department of Planning and Development administratively approved the above -
referenced site plan on August 18, 1999. This site plan, for a warehouse addition, meets all County
requirements within the M-1 (Light Industrial) Zoning District, The site plan delineates an existing two-story
building consisting of 15,036 square feet and a warehouse addition consisting of 3,144 square feet. The total
area of the facility will be 18,180 square feet. The building will be served by 17 parking spaces to include one
(1) designed for handicapped use. The plan also includes the extension of the four (4) foot which will terminate at each end of the adjacent row of parking spaces, concrete walk,
I have provided you with several copies of the approved site plan. Please forward these approved plans to the
owner and advise the owner to keep all approved copy for their files. Furthermore, the owner should ensure
that an approved copy is maintained on the construction site throughout the development process. Once site
development has been completed, the owner should contact this office for an on -site inspection.

Dear Mr. Spitler:
I have had the opportunity to review the above referenced site plan submitted to our department on June
24,1999. The following comments are offered and should be addressed during the revision of this site plan.
I have also marked the enclosed plan for your use.
1. Please ensure that the engineer's certificate is signed.
2. Please extend the four (4) foot concrete walk to terminate at each end of the adjacent row
of parking spaces.
3. Please ensure that all calculated parking space boundaries are marked with durable
painted lines and handicapped spaces are clearly identified.
4. Please state the ground floor area and total floor area of the proposed addition and include
the gross floor area of the subject building. Furthermore, an updated FAR calculation must
be provided based upon the expanded floor area.
5. Please state the height of the subject buildings and the proposed addition on the site plan.
6. Please identify the location of any outdoor trash receptacle proposed for the facility and
provide a detail of the structure for its enclosure.
7. Please state the building setbacks provided in the project information.
