construction of a 2,500sf freezer expansion to the existing Valley Biomedical Products facility located on
Industrial Drive (Route 880). This expansion also includes the addition of a new asphalt pad area to
accorllnlodate loading, the repair of the existing dunlpster and the addition of two trees.

Building addition shall comply with The Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and
use group S ( Storage) of the International Building Code / 2003.Other code that applies
is ICC/Ansi A 177.1-03 Usable and Accessible Buildings and Facilities.( can utilize the
2000 edition of the VUSBC up to Nov 16, 2006 for plan design)
Note; Chapter 9113C requires Automatic sprinkler System thoughout or Fire Barrier
shall be installed.
Chapter 34 IBC additions require accessible route to comply in full or owner to
extend up to 20% of cost of the additon to comply.
Accessible egress shall be provided to the exterior of the building to either and

Frederick County Zoning Inspector Comments
Comment l: Adjoining Properties. The use, zoning, pin, acreage and owner for all adjoining properties
(even across roads) need to be provided.
Response: Adjoining properties have been labeled.
Comment 2: Dunipster Screening. Dumpsters need to be screened bY a six foot board -on -board fence:
provide a detail of the fence on the plan.
Response: No changes to the dumpster arc proposed.
Comment 3: Loading Space. This structure requires a /2 .v 45 ft. loading space: this loading space must
be striped.
Response: 'Phis site has an existing loading space. A note requiring striping has been added.
Comment 4: Floor Area Ratio. Under the project informlcution on Sheet 1, include the floor area ratio of
the building.
Response: Floor area ratio has been added to the covetshect.
