The checklist below indicates all the information that needs to be submitted as part of the site plan
application. All required information must be submitted prior to the final approval of any site plan. The
Department of Planning and Development will review the application to ensure that it is complete. If
any portion is not included or complete, the site plan application will not be accepted and returned to
the applicant(s).
Site Plan Package
1. One set of approved comment sheets are required from the following review
agencies prior to final site plan approval. It is recommended that applicants contact
the Department of Planning and Development to determine which review agencies
are relevant to their site plan application.

Frederick County Sanitation Authority
Department of Planning and Development
Inspections Department
Frederick County Engineer (Public Works)

2. One copy of the Site Plan application

Dear Mr. Stickley:
The Frederick County Department of Planning and Development administratively approved the above
referenced plan on January 9, 2007i The site plan is approved for additional parking for fleet
maintenance and U-Haul service. All new improvements and pavement must be completed by May
31, 2002. As approved, the site plan meets all requirements for development in the M-1 Zoning
District.
I am providing you with four copies of the approved site plan. Please forward these to the owner.
The owner should be advised that a copy must be kept on the construction site throughout the
development process. Furthermore, the owner should also keep a copy for future reference. Once
site development is complete, the owner should contact this office to schedule an on -site inspection.

We have revised the Site Plan based on the comments received and dated August 31, 2001 and offer the
following responses:
Comment 1: Please provide changes to the parking calculations to include the U-haul addition. 711ese
changes should include employees parking.
Response: The parking calculations have been changed and show all parking provided for all uses on -site.
Comment 2: Please delineate the bus parking to include striping and width of spaces.
Response: Striping and dimensions have been delineated for the bus parking.
Comment 3: Please delineate on the site plan the location of all signs. these signs shall be in accordance
with the Frederick County Zoning Ordinance. All sign types and sizes need to be included on a separate
sheet with this site plan.
Response: All existing and proposed signs are on the site plan. ivh•. Schrock is planning oil having all
Wilding mounted signs and to remove the existing sign along 1-81. Currently, there are three signs on the
front of the building and one proposed on the rear (facing 1-81) of the building.
Comment 4: Please provide on this site plan a copy of Section 165-48.2 of the Frederick Count), Zoning
Ordinance as it applies to this site.
Response: Section 165-48.2 has been added to sheet 4 and all requirements have been complied with.
Comment S: Please note that the site is not in compliance with Site Plan 11027-98, approvedJlale 23, 1998;
these issues have been addressed on this site plan.
Response: Acknowledged.
Comment 6: As of this dare, any further- expansions or changes at this site will be violations and processed

Comment 7: Please show the location and dimensions of the loading space provided.
Response: The loading space has been shown adjacent to the bus parking and is dimensioned.
Comment 8: Staff measures the perimeter of all prinking lots at 870'. Please change landscaping
calculations on the site plan to reflect this. A perimeter of 870' would require 22 trees to meet the
perimeter landscaping calculations.
Response: The landscape calculations on sheet 2 are for the U-haul parking lot addition shown on this Site
flan Revision. The original approved landscaping calculations for other existing spaces on -site are shown
on sheet 4. Adding the two perimeter calculations gives a total of S90' which requires 23 trees and a total
of 23 perimeter trees have been provided for the entire site.
Comment 9: Please Show the types of Sui flee mate/ials used on the Site plan. Providedetails that desciihe
each type.
Response: Surface materials on all travel ways and parking areas will be asphalt pavement_ This has been
labeled on the site plan and a heavy pavement detail for trucks and buses has been added to sheet 2. Other
pavement details from the original approved plan are shown on sheet 3.
Comment 10: Please change the dale on the site plait.
Response: The date has been changed.
Comment 11: All site changes and improvements must be completed by May 1, 2002.
Response: Acknowledged.
