complete prior to accepting it. If any portion of the application is not complete, it will be returned to the
applicant(s).
(1) One (1) set of approved comment sheets are required from each relevant review
agency prior to final approval of a site plan. It is recommended that applicants
contact the Department of Planning & Development to determine which review

Upon review of'thc subject site plan, we offer the following conuiients:
1) Provide a copy of the stormwater management report for our review.
2) In accordance with VESCI-I Standard 3.13, provide the design calculations, details and
grading plan for all sediment traps. The maximum drainage area for a sediment trap is
three (3) acres or less.
3) Provide outlet protection details and dimensions on the plan for all culverts in accordance
with VESCH Standard 3.18.
4) Frederick County requires all grass -lined channel slopes to be a minimum two (2) percent
unless the bottom of the enamel is paved or a french drain is installed. It will be necessary
to provide profiles of all of the proposed channels as well as for the proposed stormwater
Imnagelnent pond.
Once these comments have been addressed, submit two (2) copies of the revised site plan for
ftu-ther review.

We have received your revised site plan dated February 25, 2004 for the referenced project. It appears
all of our earlier review comments have been satisfactorily addressed. Please advise the owner of our
approval. Also please provide six (6) sets of approved construction plans v ith signed seal for
VDOT distribution.
The appropriate land use permit may now be applied for to cover work within the Route 861 right-of-
way. The permit is issued by this office and will require a minimum processing fee, surety bond
coverage, and the salary & expenses of a State assigned Inspector. A copy of any/all recorded plats of
dedication for drainage easements or additional right-of-way required for implementation of this
proposed project should be provided to VDOT prior to issuance of any land use permits. Dedication
should be made to the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Once satisfactory application has been made, a permit will normally take approximately thirty days to
process and issue. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to call.
