1. QUALITY ASSURANCE : ALL WORK TO BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT, APPLICABLE
RECOMMENDATIONS AND STANDARDS OF THE STEEL DOOR INSTITUTE (SDI) AND THE DOOR
AND HARDWARE INSTITUTE, WELDING PER AWS STANDARDS. MANUFACTURER AND INSTALLER
SHALL HAVE NOT LESS THAN FIVE YEARS CONTINUOUS, SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE IN THE
TYPE OF WORK SHOWN. FIRE -RATED ASSEMBLIES SHALL BEAR THE UL LABEL.
2. DOORS: PROVIDE TYPES AND PROFILES AS SCHEDULED.
- CONSTRUCTION FULLY WELDED, SEAMLESS, 1 3/4" THICK
- EXTERIOR DOOR 16 GAGE STEEL, ASTM A-366 ZINC COATED.
- INTERIOR DOOR: 18 GAGE STEEL, ASTM A-366.
- INTERNAL CONSTRUCTION : MANUFACTURERS STANDARD HONEYCOMB, SOLID MINERAL
CORE OR RIGID STEEL REINFORCING WITH SOUND DEADENING AS APPROVED BY ARCHITECT.
- HARDWARE REINFORCEMENT : PER PS4-66 STANDARDS.
3. DOOR FRAMES : PROVIDE TYPES AND PROFILES AS SCHEDULED.
- CONSTRUCTION: FULLY WELDED, SEAMLESS WITH INTEGRAL TRIM.
- EXTERIOR FRAMES: 14 GAGE STEEL ASTM A-366 ZINC COATED.
- INTERIOR FRAMES : 16 GAGE STEEL ASTM A-366.
- JAMB ANCHORS FOR STUD PARTITIONS : 18 GAGE, 3 PER JAMB FOR FRAMES TO 7'-6",
4 PER JAMB FOR FRAMES LARGER THAN 7'-6".
- OTHER FRAME ELEMENTS : PROVIDE RUBBER BUMPERS (3 PER STRIKE JAMB), BASE
ANCHORS, SPREADER BAR, HARDWARE REINFORCEMENTS, DUST COVER BOXES, ETC.

4. FINISH : RUST INHIBITIVE PRIMER BY FABRICATOR. FIELD PAINT WITH 2 FINISH

HARDWARE PROVIDER TO HAVE NOT LESS THAN 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN HARDWARE SUPPLY
AND SCHEDULING.
GENERAL : PROVIDE ALL HARDWARE WITH FASTENERS AS REQUIRED FOR A COMPLETE AND
PROPER INSTALLATION. PROVIDE TYPES AND FINISHES TO MATCH THAT OF ADJACENT EXISTING
UNITS, UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN.
PACKING AND MARKING: ALL HARDWARE SHALL HAVE THE REQUIRED SCREWS, BOLTS AND FASTENINGS
NECESSARY FOR PROPER INSTALLATION, WRAPPED IN PAPER IN SAME PACKAGE AS THE HARDWARE,
EACH PACKAGE SHALL BE LEGIBLY LABELED, INDICATING THE PORTION OF THE WORK FOR
WHICH IT IS INTENDED.
